About This Blouse

The Hand-Painted Silk Art Blouse is the result of a collaboration between our design team and a watercolor artist who has spent twenty years painting on silk. Each blouse starts as a blank canvas — a piece of 22-momme silk twill stretched on a frame in our studio. Over the course of six hours, the artist applies layer after layer of pigment, building the abstract floral motif that defines this piece. Because each blouse is painted by hand, no two are identical. You are buying a numbered, signed, original artwork that happens to be wearable.

Fit & Silhouette

Relaxed tunic silhouette with a band collar (mandarin style). Drop shoulders. Full-length sleeves with wide buttoned cuffs. Side slits for ease. The hand-painted motif wraps from the front across the shoulders to the back. Each blouse is numbered and signed on the interior label.

Materials

100% silk twill, 22 momme. Hand-painted with silk-specific pigments that are heat-set for permanence. Buttons: hand-carved horn. Dry clean only, using a cleaner experienced with hand-painted textiles. Do not spot-clean.

Styling Note

This is a collector’s piece, but it is also a working wardrobe hero. Let the blouse be the focal point: wear it with black cigarette trousers and simple flats. The colors are inspired by a Marrakech garden at dusk and work beautifully with indigo denim, warm leather accessories, and gold jewelry.
